Every year, May 10 is celebrated as the Avirbhav Divas of Swami Sri Yukteswarji at all the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) ashrams, kendras, and mandalis. Special commemorative programmes were held at YSS Noida Ashram and at YSS Delhi and Gurugram Dhyana Kendras.
The programmes included group meditation and satsangas conducted by YSS sannyasis at these venues.
YSS NOIDA ASHRAM
Swami Smaranananda conducted the commemoration programme. The programme began with chanting and group meditation, followed by a satsanga. In his talk Swamiji highlighted the quality of courtesy and thriftiness of the Jnanavatar Swami Sri Yukteshwarji. He encouraged devotees to often recall Sri Yuketswarji’s counsel, “Remember that finding God will mean the funeral of all sorrows.”
After the talk, pushpanjali was conducted by Brahmacharis Alokananda and Vinayananda following which Guru Langar was served to all the devotees.
YSS GURUGRAM KENDRA
On the evening of May 10, devotees attended commemorative programme which included group meditation and pushpanjali.
On May 19, Swami Vasudevananda and Brahmachari Sheelananda from YSS Noida ashram conducted meditation, satsanga, and pushpanjali at the Kendra.
The programme was attended by 250 people. All those present were served Guru Langar. Around 125 needy and poor people were served food during Narayan Seva.
Among the attendees were several of the new Yogoda Satsanga Lessons students who had enrolled after the YSS public talk held at Gurugram earlier.
